PHP Warnings during local backup

I manually started a local backup of the database. This message appeared on the Existing Backups page in the space where “Web-server disk space in use by UpdraftPlus: 50.3 MB” should appear:
Warning: fopen(/www1/f6a/www.henleyherald.com/web/wp-config.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /www1/f6a/www.henleyherald.com/web/wp-content/plugins/updraftplus/admin.php on line 5168

The backup worked according to the log file and the last modified date.

The backup date is listed as May 31, 2018 15:53. The log file says “Opened log file at time: Thu, 31 May 2018 14:53:28”. My system time is UTC +1 hour.

I cleared PHP logging on the server before the backup. After, the PHP log file showed this:

If I click “Rescan local folder for new backup sets”, nothing happens and the error message remains.

Nothing will remove the error message on Existing Backups, every time I do a hard or soft cache refresh on that tab page, it reloads to the Current Status tab page.

What is this warning and how do I remove it? I tried deactivating and activating but it’s still there.

500 Error After Restore

So I had an issue with a WordPress plugin today that made it impossible to edit the files, so I tried to use a backup restore from Updraft Plus and it killed my site! I’m getting a 500 error now and can’t even login to WordPress.

Before I did the restore, the plugin said that it was not a restore, but actually a migration which didn’t make sense to me, and I went ahead with the restore anyway. I have recently changed from http to https, I thought the backup was after that change, but I may have been wrong.

Now, I cannot access my site or even the Wp Admin page anymore, so I’m totally locked out.

Please help me out if you can, this site is very important to me and my business. Thank you so much for any assistance you can provide.

Restoration problem

Hi,

Been using this plugin to backup to Google Drive. I moveded my instillation and started fresh on another one. I installed the plugin and started the restore process. The problem is, non of my images made it back as you can see if you visit my blog. I tried looking into the backup “uploads” folder and they appear to be there. I tried over 5 times but same thing without any warring.

Edit: When I try to update my themes/Plugins it says I have restoration in progress. I click continue but nothing happens and the page crashes.

Kindly help.

Why does UpdraftPlus create a .htaccess in folder updraft?

Hi,
obviously UpdraftPlus creates a .htaccess-file in the folder “updraft” on the webserver. Its code is “deny from all”.

Is this a senseful and effective security measure, with proper php code?

S3 Error: Failed to access bucket

Hi,

I have exported the previous setting and imported in another website, I have then changed the destination folder (only difference between the two websites) however this one, after the first backup that went smooth keeps giving ussies while uploading, here is the error:

0126.137 (0) S3 Error: Failed to access bucket ********. The bucket you are attempting to access must be addressed using the specified endpoint. Please send all future requests to this endpoint: “********.s3.amazonaws.com”. (line: 91, file: /var/www/********/httpdocs/wp-content/plugins/updraftplus/vendor/aws/aws-sdk-php/src/Aws/Common/Exception/NamespaceExceptionFactory.php)

Please notice that the other backup is working fine and the endpoint I specified is a subdomain name (I added the DNS records to forward to Amazon) and it is working perfectly as it is.

Unable to update, buggy

Hi, guys, I use Updraft Plus backup on several sites. Within the last 48 hours or so 06/02, I’ve begun updating a few of my sites and noticed that regardless of time of day, regardless of site, with very strong wifi, regardless of site, each time, the update does not go through and shows the same red alert in each instance. I have Go Daddy shared hosting but have PHP 5.6 or 5.7 which should allow updates……The red alert displays “Update failed:0.”

Google Drive error

Hello,
I need some help, i have been using updraft for 4 years now backing up to my google drive account. As of 1st June, i have been getting this error.

9877.931 (9) Google Drive error (invalid_grant) when requesting access token: response does not contain access_token. Response: { “error” : “invalid_grant”, “error_description” : “Token has been expired or revoked.

I haven’t changed anything and i dont know what to do.
I am a total non IT person. So any information can you please give me a step by step guide.

Dropbox authenticate keeps redirecting

When trying to authenticate with Dropbox, the redirect back to my page keeps redirecting to the login page while I’m logged on as admin. When I log in from that page, I am redirected to the root wp-admin page instead of completing the dropbox authentication. This loop is keeping me from connecting Updraft to dropbox, any suggestions?

Unable to complete upload to Google Drive

Until a few days ago UpdraftPlus worked perfectly. But now I cannot complete uploads to Google Drive and find the following error message in the logs:

3771.367 (0) Google Drive quota usage: failed to obtain this information: Error refreshing the OAuth2 token, message: ‘{“error” : “invalid_request”, “error_description” : “Missing required parameter: refresh_token”}’

I have tried changing the zipped file size to 100MB, 500MB and 1GB but the upload always stops after approx 1.5 hours (i.e. when 80% of the files have been uploaded).

What can I do to resolve this issue?

Remove “Delete” Option from Existing backups

Hello, thanks for this great plugin.

But what if someone hack and login into the WordPress site and delete all created backups including cloud backups? We lost the backups and site, right?

Is there any way to add extra security or is it possible to disable “Delete” option from existing backups?

Back up, uploaded, meltdown.

Where to begin.
After the new privacy rules came out, WordPress sent me an email about what is and should be done to everybody’s website for security and such. So I added a few plugins. A better registry for users, Anti malware, backup programs. Then during testing I was told my site was very slow. I need to optimize pictures and delete some as well I use Yoast premium which I love. I started to make progress. Then I noticed I was getting red dotted borders around linked content. Noty just wordpress but most sites on the net I go see. So during the next 18 hours attempting to figure it out my whole website started to loose info, and change. I couldnt upload or do anything. So tthe suggestion came to delete a bunch of plugins and use my back from Updraftplus. That’s when my entire site when to crap. As of today 15 hours later, I lost my entire media files, I can not use any plugin for videos where its self hosted. The new YouTube works great. I cant change my background. Imagify Image Optimizer never ever did optimize a damn thing. I did it manually. It takes forever to add new pictures to my storage library now, and in that library I can’t upload any videos to it as well. WordPress and Vantage Theme are up to date. so are the remaining plug ins. The restore killed me. I deleted to following plugins:

Wordfence Security – Firewall & Malware Scan

WP Rocket.

So now its a complete rebuild from scratch it looks like. However there is still issues with upload speed being the worst Ive ever seen. Feels like a commodore on dial up. Oh and a forced library plugin called Regenerate Thumbnails to restore my pictures never worked.

What am I to do??? I am a rookie at this stuff and it took me over a year to get my site ranking a ton of google page ones for a lot of search words regarding my career,

Google Drive error uploading

Hi,

I’m having trouble backing up my site, the manual back up now button works but the scheduled backups every day don’t seem to. I want to backup remotely to my google drive, I seem to have connected it and it says I’m authenticated. I can see a folder in my google drive called Updraft Plus but there’s nothing in it. I just did a back-up today, it had succeeded and was complete, but it also said ‘No remote despatch: user chose no remote backup service’. In expert settings I have Use the server’s SSL certificates ticked and I’m using Version 1.14.11 of Updraft Plus. Still there’s nothing in my Google Drive.

I’m not very computer literate, can you help me?

Upload directly to S3 rather than on server first

Is there a way to upload the current backup to S3 directly rather than creating a copy on the server and then to S3? I can understand that it could result to data loss if the storage server goes down but maybe Updraft could upload it as each partitioned zip is created?

WP CLI backup

I am wondering how the plugin determines that it should do a Full Backup versus a DB backup. I have created a shell where I want the Full to run on Sundays and if it’s not Sunday then do a DB backup.

The settings for UpdraftPlus in WordPress is set to Manual for both types of backups. In my shell I am running wp updraftplus backup if it’s not Sunday, and wp updraftplus backup –include-files=”plugins,themes,uploads,wpcore,others” if it is Sunday.

The script is correct, but wp updraftplus backup is running a full every time.

What do I need to do differently?

Incomplete backup to One Drive: not_authed CF-Ray

Since June 1, Updraftplus is unable to complete backup to OneDrive stating: An error response was received; HTTP code: not_authed CF-Ray (follow by some numbers).

The plugin is up to date. Any idea of what’s causing this issue? Help would be greatly appreciated.

Backups not appearing

Hi there, we use UpdraftPlus to backup our charity website to DropBox. I run it manually before big changes. It has stopped working, but shows no obvious error message. Just the files don’t appear in DropBox or in the Restore/Backup list. This was not following any update, and I am using the latest version. I have also checked the DropBox authentication and it seems to be fine.

I have the log file from my latest attempt but it’s 12 pages long so I haven’t included it. I would really appreciate any help – I have no idea (as you can probably tell!)

Missing buttons

I can’t run backups because the buttons on the modal (cancel and the other one) are smushed together.
I can’t roll back or delete because the buttons are TOTALLY missing. What do I do? I haven’t been able to find a specific plugin conflict, although turning off toolset did help (it unmushed the plugins slightly. It did not help with the missing ones however)

I have a problem with UpdraftPlus
When I installed it, it worked fine with me but after a while it no longer works when I take a backup that takes a long time to “resume” and I do not know the fixes, I got this problem a week ago and I deleted my blog from hosting “godaddy” and lost all my files He was working again at the beginning and now he is not working I’m tired

To decrease the likelihood of overlaps, increasing resumption interval to: 329 + 120 = 449

SIte taking hours to backup

Hi there,

I use the plugin on many sites with no problems.
Recently this site was hacked and since then, the backups are taking hours to be created.
I am worried about what is happening with these backups.
There is not a very large amount of content on the site.
I do have the the log file for the most recent backup if that makes a difference to trying to troubleshoot.
This is very unusual behaviour for Updraft and I would love to know how I can troubleshoot this with you.
