When trying to update plugin from 1.16.14 to 1.16.15 version site goes into maintenance mode and stays there.

This is for the web site I built for where I work. I’m running the most UTD version of WP and I just installed UpdraftPlus. At first I was sending backups to my Google Drive, but it seems I have already overloaded that storage and need to do something else. I thought I’d try FTP, so I created an FTP account and entered the settings in the plugin.
FTP host: http://ftp.workwebsite.com (that’s not really the web site, but it’s an example)
FTP user: updraft@workwebsite.com
[password]
Remote Path: /home2/username/public_html/databackups
When I test the settings in the plugin, I get the error: “updraft_send_command: error: UpdraftPlus: could not parse the JSON (502)”. When I searched elsewhere in this forum for that issue, I found this answer from about a year ago:
The usual cause of an HTTP 502 is a timeout in PHP-FPM. Can you consult your web hosting company to check if that is the case, and what they suggest? (What is the timeout? The default is 60 seconds in PHP-FPM; so the server would have to be hugely overloaded for that… so I suspect there is more to it, but the server admin is the person with the access to find out).
I contacted the hosting company via their online chat, but they are saying it’s an issue with the plugin. (“I suggest you use File Zilla for FTP.” “I normally use CoreFTP, but obviously I can’t with the plugin.”) I did ask the timeout for PHP-FRM and the tech on the chat said “time is increased to 300 It works on FTP but plugin we do not support.”
Is there a way to get this to work to upload backups to the web site server via FTP, or should I give up and pay for something like DropBox?

I can’t view my dashboard. It keeps redirecting to my old site. I just want to blow the old files away and try the migration tool. What can I do to get rid of the files and start fresh?

Hi I made a backup from a hosting (without https in the url ) and restore to the other hosting (where instead I was already activating the automatic redirect from HTTP to HTTPS) and now the website dn’t works showing this error: ERR_TOO_MANY_REDIRECTS.
Maybe the issues is exactly this http to https redirect and then maybe it will works all right, yes?

Hi, I get this error message on the backup:
0163.751 (0) An error condition occurred for the first time during this job
how can i solve this because i really don’t know what the error is.
it is really important that the backup goes well because I have to test the site with the new version PHP7.3.

can I see which dropbox email account the backup is linked to?
another question is:
if I keep multiple backup sessions, will this session also remain on the server room?

Hi, I have been trying to backup my website for the last 2 days. But it keeps falling over.

Hi there
I am on the latest version of the plugin. Backing up to google drive storage used to work perfectly, but now I am getting this error: “Google Drive: Have not yet obtained an access token from Google – you need to authorise or re-authorise your connection to Google Drive.”
I have de-authorised and re-authorised, as well as un-installing and re-installing the plugin, but I still get the same error?

Hello, my webhosting service does not allow local backups, so I switched to remote backup ones… but for some weird reason I can see backup file stored locally in the same way. What could be wrong with that?

Hello, I tried doing a restore from a backup because I was going to perform some changes to the site. The site is now broken and returning the infamous ”The site is experiencing technical difficulties.” error.

My settings inside Updraft are set to upload to my Amazon S3 account, but when I looked on Amazon, the bucket that is supposed to contain backup files only contains files from May of 2018. Apparently, there are no backup files being stored on S3 even though the Updraft plugin itself indicates backups every 4 hours through today. What could be happening? I tested the S3 connection, and the plugin indicated that the connection is fine.
And Updraft is set to only keep the last 30 backups, yet there are backups in my S3 account going back more than a year.

I really appreciate this plugin (although, thankfully I haven’t relied on the restore function yet.)
But I have real trouble to make any sense of the log file messages. Isn’t there a FAQ file, which explains these rather cryptic messages? A tech might understand them – me not!

Hi,
I’ve setup a cron job (disabling wp_cron from wp-config.php)
The backups are created successfully in the specified folder, but they all have 0 KB size.
Otherwise, if I trigger a manual backup in the plugin dashboard they are created and they are ok.
Can you please advise?

This plugin is causing conflicts with other plugins on the site and I’m looking to remove it. However, if I try to remove it, deactivate or update, it throws me to a white screen with the following message:
The site is experiencing technical difficulties. Please check your site admin email inbox for instructions.

I tried updating the Updraftplus plugin but it caused a 500 Internal Server Error with the following message:
500 Internal Server Error Internal Server Error The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request. Please contact the server administrator and inform them of the time the error occurred, and the actions you performed just before this error. More information about this error may be available in the server error log.
It then put my site into maintenance mode. The site then restored on its own after waiting several minutes, but when it came back up, the Updraftplus plugin was gone, as well as a couple of other plugins.
I was able to re-install the other plugins, as well as deleted all other plugins that I’m not using. But when I tried to re-install Updraftplus, it again caused the 500 Internal Server Error with the same message.
Please let me know what may be causing this issue and what can be done to correct it. It’s important that I am able to backup my site, so if this is going to be an ongoing issue or one that will not be fixed any time in the near future, I will need to quickly find another backup solution.

How can I make backups to proceed longer but less RAM and CPU resource-intensive? I noticed that while I backup with Updraft – the website is too slowly.

After the latest update WP Optimize we have this warning on our homepage : Warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in /home/*****/public_html/wp-admin/includes/media.php on line 1813. We looked at the media.php but found nothing strange. For the moment we deactivated the pluging but we are looking for a solution. Who can help ?
