Hello I have my automatic backups setup. I thought I had everything neccessary to save me if I had a problem.
My website went down due to a theme upgrade and possible plug-in errrors.

When I tried to use the backups that I stored on Dropbox, I found that I did not have everything neccessary. My backup didn’t have the full theme or something that was neccessary for me to restore and had to pay my hosting Hostgator to restore from one of their backups.
Big let down because I thought I was proteceted with this app

I’ve created a project on the API console and setup OAuth authroization and credentials, received a client ID and client secret and entered a Authorized redirect URIs. This is a backup for just a single site. However the plugin receives this error when trying to access Google Drive:
Google Drive error (invalid_grant) when requesting access token: response does not contain access_token. Response: { “error” : “invalid_grant”, “error_description” : “Token has been expired or revoked.”}

Any ideas on how to fix this?

Why is UpdraftPlus so slow on SiteGround servers running PHP 7.0/7.1? Even on small 1-3 page sites with little media can take upwards of 10 minutes. Other hosts it’s very fast.

I have a windows 8.1 server and when i set up the FTP for Updraft and test it i get a success message but when i actually try to do a backup i get the following in the error log.

Setting this up for some of my websites.

In the update section for 1 of my sites it says

“automatic update is unavailable for this item”

for a few of the plugins. These are plugins that can be automatically updated through WordPress backend but for some reason its showing this through UpdraftCentral

Also if you notice they are all BeaverBuilder Theme and Plugins

I followed the directions to allow google drive but when I go to the authentication with google it says that “My Email addy” wants to access not “Updraft”. Then I get, “This App Isn’t Verified”.

I deleted and started from scratch twice and I keep getting the same result.

What am I doing wrong?

Hello, I am running into to difficulties when trying to migrate my site from one domain to another.

I have the backup files that I want to restore my live site from and have tried multiple ways in restoring them.

When using the migrate/clone option in updraft I am unable to create a key on the receiving site as whenever I click the Create Key button nothing happens or the box simply says “Creating…”.

When I try to use remote storage, I set both the sending and receiving site to have the same remote storage settings and backup the sending site to Amazon S3. From my understanding if I hit “rescan remote storage” on the receiving site it should then detect the backup files from the sending site. This is not the case as nothing new shows up on the receiving site.

Lastly, if I try to directly upload the backup files to the receiving site, when I try to upload each file I am met with the message “Upload error: The uploaded file could not be moved to wp-content/uploads/2017/08.” From my browser.

If there is any way I can fix any of these problems or restore my website from the backup files I have in another please let me know. Thank you.

Hi,

Is there any way to get my views, routines and triggers included in the database backup ?

I have created a few of these objects and given them a prefix wp_ but they are not included in the backup, only tables are included. Is there a way to get views, routines and triggers included ?

Existing WP site is hosted on AWS. I installed this plugin and created backups (5 files). So far so good. The new site is on a different server but SAME URL. To access it, I change my PC’s hosts file to point the domain to the new IP. I can then login to the WP install there, and upload the backup files. Again, so far so good. But when I restore, the result says “completed successfully” – but clicking any “continue” link then tries to take me to http://127.0.0.1/whatever instead of the actual site URL. What am I missing?

I backed up my site with UpDraftPlus for the first time two days ago. Today I needed to restore my site, and during the process I got several warnings saying that I needed to remove old directories. I clicked on the button as instructed but after backup was complete, I discovered my parent theme had been removed, along with deactivated plugins, and my website was totally broken. Why was my parent theme removed?
Second question…is there a way to recover work that was done after the backup? I did a backup on 8/2 and had to restore files today on 8/4. I did a lot of work between those dates, and not only is that work gone, but most of the pages have reverted back to the way they were two weeks ago. I’m devastated. How do I prevent my parent theme from being removed in backup/restores and is there a way to recover the work I did between the backup and restore times?

I cannot backup anymore. My last back up was in June. I have tried deactivating other plugins and even updated the theme. I also deleted updraft and reinstalled it but nothing changed. On the browser console I found the following errors. Can anyone please help me correct this? I have no code knowledge but I can make changes if someone guides me. Please! Thanks a lot.

Hi,I have the boxes checked for plugins, themes, uploads, etc (all the selections). My backups have been successful but when I wanted to restore my site from last week, we found it was only the database that had been backed up. How do I get a full site excluding wordpress core backup?

My WP site was recently hacked and I’ve taken a number of steps to clean-up and prevent a recurrence (new complex password, installation of Wordfence and Ithemes Security, etc.). I still have other things to do, but I’m struggling on one item in particular: My dashboard shows that there are 26 posts, but only one shows up in the list of posts.

If I do tools>export>posts, there is a fair amount of content that seems to correlate to posts, but it’s not anything I created.

I downloaded and ran wp-optimizer, but the problem persists.

So, my overall question is: What steps can I take to find and actually delete the posts. I’ve looked all around the WP admin console, and the only hint I find of these posts is if I go to Appearance>Menu I can see these posts in the posts section. But I don’t see a way to delete them.

Any advice/suggestions/guidance would be greatly appreciated – I’m far from a WP expert.

While translating for en_CA I wanted to raise a few minor issues in the Readme.

1. Localization – centralised should be centralized

*It’s suggested to provide the base language in en_US and translate from there as GlotPress doesn’t provide an en_US locale to translate to.

Hi, since this morning, Updraft seems to be backing up my site every few minutes!! I have not changed anything in the settings – I am getting confirmation emails of the back up constantly now. so far today: (Aug 09 2017)
Backed up: 08:21, 08:36, 08:51, 09:04, 09:16, 09:46, 10:00…..

Anyone experiencing the same?
I have updated to the latest Updraft plus plugin this morning but it is still happening.

I purchased and tried to install the OneDrive Plugin for Updraft. I got an “Installion failed” error with no further explanation. See below:

I’ve run all the steps of google API authentication as in the instructions, but still get error message: Google Drive: Account is not authorized. Is there anything wrong here? How to fix it?
