Getting this error on two sites. Backups seem to be working fine. Free version.

Dropbox error: Error in call to API function “users/get_current_account”: request body: could not decode input as JSON (400)

I have tried the following:
Delete settings in updraft
Delete and reinstall plugin
Delete all backup folders in dropbox and reconnect with fresh updraft

Still the error persists, but appears to be backing up correctly.

Found this recent thread where in the last post they reimported the database to fix but I am not wanting to try that!

Beim durchstöbern der Plugins habe ich mir die Einstellungen von UpdraftPlus angesehen und festgestellt, dass hier eine Fehlermeldung angezeigt wird.
Das Backup der Datenbank läuft automatisch wöchentlich. Immer die letzten Beiden Backups werden vorgehalten.
Gespeichert wird dies in einer DropBox.

Mit der Log-Datei kann ich nichts anfangen, da ich hier nicht genug im Thema drin bin und nicht wüsste worauf ich achten muss.

UpdraftPlus Verison 1.14.11 (aktualisiert vor 2 Monaten)

Da ich nur die letzten zwei Backups sehen konnte, weiß ich nur, dass es die Fehlermeldung am 04.07. gab, ebenso wie am 11.07.

Wie kann die Fehlermeldung behoben werden?

I am not able to complete a backup of my site, the Current Backup page shows links to info about site not getting enough visitors. It doesn’t, but the “now” option is not creating a full backup even with repeated refresh. Is the is a visitor issue or as the error log calls it:

One of my sites is unable to authenticate Dropbox for UpdraftPlus backups.

What I do:
I add Dropbox and Save, then click the link to authenticate, I choose the correct Dropbox account (work, not personal), then click the UpdraftPlus orange page button to “Complete setup”.

What I see:
I never return to the Dropbox page in WordPress when I click “Complete setup.”
Instead, I am thrown out to the wp-admin login screen and must re-login.
UpdraftPlus Dropbox authentication works with no trouble on two other websites I own.
Both of those send backups to Dropbox successfully.

What I’ve tried without success:
I wiped the updraftPlus setting and set them up again manually.
I disabled every other plugin. Only UpdraftPlus plugin is active.
I tried to authenticate to my Personal Dropbox account instead.
Always same behavior.

What I noticed:
Used Link Redirect trace in Chrome to see how I got to the login page.
The button on the final UpdraftPlus orange authentication page is taking me to http://letskeepitcivil.org/wp-admin/options-general.php?page=updraftplus&action=updraftmethod-dropbox-auth
But this is being 302 redirected to:
http://www.letskeepitcivil.org/wp-login.php?redirect_to=http%3A%2F%2Fletskeepitcivil.org%2Fwp-admin%2Foptions-general.php%3Fpage%3Dupdraftplus%26action%3Dupdraftmethod-dropbox-auth&reauth=1

Every time. I have no idea why.
No other plugins are active on that site.
And the other two sites do NOT redirect like that. They just show a 200 status on the “Complete Setup” link itself:

Any help would be appreciated.

Hi Folks,
I deleted some products off my site and wished I hadn’t done it now, could I fix the problem by doing a UpdraftPlus Backup/Restore or is it to late for that.

We were hoping to rollback some changes with Updraft today but the restore process says the database is from a different site. The name matches however.

We have been on same SSL and host for few weeks. Do we need to do something to correct on our end? Delete plugin / data and re-install?

Updraft has been great for backups in the past months. Working very smoothly untill this week. Suddenly getting this error message:

PHP event: code E_WARNING: popen() has been disabled for security reasons (line 1575, wp-content/plugins/updraftplus/class-updraftplus.php)

The backup doesn’t start and resumes every somany minutes with the same warning

When i look in that class-updraftplus.php on line 1575 i see

$handle = popen($exec, “r”);

Have been searching on this forum and internet but can’t find a solution.
Any help would be appreciated

Hello
Last ftp backup dated 10th of july did’nt work. Although, without changing anything on my parameters, backup dated 3d of july ran perfect.

I’m a little confused — in the free version, it says that it doesn’t back up “non WP files”. What does that mean? Does that mean my page content and blog posts won’t be backed up with the free version, and just my themes and plugins will be backed up?

Hi,

Since I’m having problems connecting to Google Drive, I am wondering if I can download the files from the Existing Backups tab instead. Yesterday’s backup has status “Not finished”. Does it have status “Not finished” because the plugin was not able to upload to Google Drive, but the backup files themselves are ok? Or because the backup files are not complete, and there’s no point in downloading the files?

Recently doing a backup of my site has becoming longer and longer. And now it has become quite extreme. I started one about 10 hours ago, and it’s still going on.

At the same time, the Physical Memory Usage and I/O usage of my server are reaching 100%.

Note that I have disabled wp-cron.php (otherwise CPU usage gets too high -unrelated to Updraftplus) and added cron jobs through cpanel.
I was also advised to add this line in wp-config : define(‘UPDRAFTPLUS_NO_BINZIP’, true); to make things faster, and it’s not working.

Finally note that I have several sites and the issue has been happening to all the sites that use Updraftplus so far.

I am desperately trying to restore a previous version of my website, but I keep getting this message when I try:

I’ve been given an older backup from 2015. Trying to restore it onto a new server (different domain name). When I restore the database, it kills WordPress. I can’t login to admin or see the page. Just gives me the 500 server error message. I’ve tried using the plugin that came with the backup as well as importing the database directly in PHPmyAdmin.

The backup would have been done on older versions of WP, PHP, and mySQL. Could that be the problem? Do I need to have a matching environment before restoring?

Any thoughts?

After the update i have a blanco website and i cannot restore any backup. This is also for my other website. The restore function doesn’t work anymore.

What can i do?
