Backups of other sites showing in “Existing backups” list

I use UpdraftPlus to back up several sites to the same Google Drive folder. In the plugin settings for one site, I clicked “Rescan remote storage”. Now the backups of ALL of the sites appear in the Existing Backups list.

This is confusing, and possibly dangerous if the Delete buttons would actually allow my client to delete backups of my other sites.

How can I remove these entries from the list?


Daily backups are not working

For some reason, in one of my sites that I have UpdraftPlus installed, the backups are not working. In all my other sites, which I have the same configuration, these backups are working fine.

This is the thing. I have set up Daily backups and a maximum of 7. I have disabled WP_CRON in wp-config.php file and I have setup a cron to run every day (for wp-cron.php). While in the other sites, it is working fine, in this particular site, the backups are not working and I have no clue why.

The backup system I am using is Google Drive.

Is there a way to debug why the backups are not working and see the cause of the problem? Thanks

Hide “UpdraftPlus” on toolbar?

Is there a configuration option to hide the “UpdraftPlus” item showing on theadmin toolbar? I have a backoffice system I am trying to simplify for my client. Or can someone help with the CSS? I have a plugin I am using to configure the menu items but this is too specific for their input – I thought updraft themselves might help.

fwiw #wp-admin-bar-updraft_admin_node {display:none;} doesn’t work.

Backup Not Completed

Hello –

My website is not completing a backup. It goes smoothly for most of the backup then gives me this message:

next resumption: 1 (after -341419s)

Googledrive chunked upload: 89.7 % uploaded (31457280) (Feb 08 15:15:13)

Following the advice on several other threads, I chunked up the download into smaller “bites” but it still did not complete the download.

Before the beginning of the new year, I had the automatic downloads set up and the backups had no issue.

Hi, our back-ups are hosted in Amazon S3 and all show this message at the end of the log file “The backup attempt has finished, apparently unsuccessfully.”

I would please like some suggestions as to what I could try to fix this issue.

Difficulty updating plugin version 1.16.5

I had this trouble a few days ago with a different site where it kept going into maintenance mode if I tried to update through the dashboard and kept having to delete the plugin folder and retry. It only worked by uploading the .zip file myself.

Today I’m having the same trouble with a different site, but now it just keeps timing out no matter what I do.

Deleted media files are in my backup?

Hi, I was browsing through one of my backups the other day and noticed that some old, previously deleted media files were inside my backup. Some may find this useful, but I see it taking up unnecessary (and precious) storage space from my Dropbox account.

How do I clear these files permanently? What are these files called, and where are they hiding?

backup keeps stopping

Hi all.
Previous hosting ended, client now wants restored to new hosting using Updraft.
DNS switched.
Fresh copy WordPress installed.
File upload size = 512
execution = 3000
Updraft backup files loaded using wp admin.
Rescan hit (just in case~)
Upload starts, begins normally but seems to timeout/stop after 4/5 mins..
I did look thru forums but couldnt find anything concrete that could guide me here.
I can see in themes that part of the restore has indeed been done, as child theme (not main theme annoyingly) has come across already.
Any help/guidance greatly appreciated~

UpdraftPlus fails to send email via gmail

I’m using updraft plus and have configured it to send an email notication when backup is done. I used wp mail smtp plugin to configure gmail via oAuth2. Leaving a comment on the blog sents an email via wp mail smtp plugin just fine.

Updraftplus log’s are showing the below error. Any ideas?

So I’ve been noticing that Updraft doesn’t seem to work properly as intended on one of my sites, I have the following settings configured: https://imgur.com/9sGGU56

As this is a webshop I need a lot of database backups and file backups, but for some reason I noticed that it doesn’t back up at all, only the ones I manually backed up are present: https://imgur.com/a/Ix9VyhW

I’ve already reset, relinked, reinstalled the plugin but nothing seems to work.

Could someone perhaps provide me some insight into solving this?

Is the Database all I need to restore?

Hi, earlier I was playing around with the Search and Replace plugin. I moved all my media files to a new location, and attempted to re-index them but quickly realized I didn’t know what I was doing. I was doing dry runs but still restored with the backup .sql file I created with that plugin. Afterwards though, I noticed the emoticons in my blog posts were replaced with ‘????’, and suddenly I didn’t feel so good.

I had an Updraftplus backup of my Database handy and restored for the first time, and everything appears normal again (and I’m very happy 😆), but I’m overly cautious and wondering, is this all I need to restore?

Updraft Shut Down My Site?

I did a backup this week and it brought down my site. I asked Hostgator for a previous backup copy and they don’t have any. They say all the core tables are gone and that Updraft changed them. I did a backup with Udraft before I did the database update – how can I get my backup copy from updraft?

Backup file is wrong and couldn’t Restore

Thanks for you provide such a great plug-in to backup our website.
Recently I have some backup issue as below.
1. My backup file name is not my domain name, it’s ip address. For example: backup_2019-02-15-1830_35273159123_3cb120000d6d-plugins.zip
2. I use dropbox as my remote storage and if I restore from dropbox, it shows error message and couldn’t restore successfully. Even I changed to other dropbox accont the same thing happened.

I guess if the backup file name includ my domain name, everything will be fine. Because it just happened when the backup file name includ ip address. (I have tried to change the file name but it didn’t really work)

Any suggestion will be very helpful.

We’ve bought a 35 websites license, for 110€ + VAT and not only had problems with the first install (backups for Google Drive and for Updraft Vault freezed always).

When trying to get support, got blocked at clients support forum from an IP blocker… no email visible at website… so hands tied…

Pages and posts published at support forum disapeared, all this in just three days… trying to get a refund… sent an email but not certain that it will have a reply

Real nightmare….

Does anyone have the plugin author contact?

repeated backup failures

i have a very simple WP website. no ecommerce or tons of media. its a simple informational only website that has what i would consider low traffic. i have repeatedly tried to do a manual backup and it fails each time stating ‘The backup attempt has finished, apparently unsuccessfully’. and in the list of backups, i get plugins, themes, uploads but it also says (not complete). i have lowered the file size from 400mb to 300mb and 200mb with no success. i have other websites with the same type of server (different accounts) and have no problems. in the log file prior to completion is says

Google Client libraries conflict – PHP Fatal Error

I am getting a new error on my backups related to remote storage.

PHP Fatal error (TypeError) has occurred during backup uploads to the googledrive. Error Message: Argument 1 passed to Google_Client::__construct() must be of the type array, object given, called in /wp-content/plugins/updraftplus/methods/googledrive.php on line 697 (Code: 0, line 92 in /wp-content/plugins/woocommerce-bookings/includes/lib/google-api/google/apiclient/src/Google/Client.php)

According to WooCommerce – There’s a conflict of Google Client libraries between updraft plus and WooCommerce Bookings. Updraft plus is using version 1.1.4 of the Google client library and WooCommerce Bookings uses the more recent version 2.2.2.

How can this be resolved? Thank you.

Updraft not backing up database

At first, I was having an issue where Updraft wouldn’t complete the backup. My host was able to get it to complete the backup but the completed backups don’t have my database in them. I have “Include your database in the backup” checked but when I click on the database to download it, a new tab opens and says “File not found”.

Any help is appreciated! Thank you.

Uploads file is not backing up

Dears,

I have a problem while making a full backup it gives me that the backup is done with some errors and when downloading the uploads file, I found out that it keeps making a corrupt file for that.

Hope I tackled everything, waiting for your kind reply.

Backup problems – backup never completes

Hi
I am new to blogging and trying to use Updraftplus to setup a backup. Have tried to backup to “Onedrive” “googledrive” etc – with no luck. Backup starts and then hangs after about 15 mins of activity. A logfile iis at Dropbox and link provided.
