I connected the site to Google Drive just fine. Attempted to backup and it kept timing out and then finally finished but said it was unsuccessful. I turned on debug mode and still had the unsuccessful response. I switched to remotely store on my Dropbox and it worked fine. But, I don’t want it stored there and would prefer it stored on Google Drive. The log file is below. – Thank you in advance, CArRiE

While restoring my site backup I got a warning:
This database backup has the following WordPress tables excluded: wp_commentmeta, wp_comments, wp_links, wp_options, wp_postmeta, wp_posts, wp_term_relationships, wp_term_taxonomy, wp_termmeta, wp_terms, wp_usermeta, wp_users
Why this warning? I mean Why would you exclude these important database files? If you exclude database files then there is no advantage of using this plugin. I might be wrong that’s why I needed the answer.

Hi,
Is it possible to name or add comment for each backup created? Currently the backups are listed as Mar 28, 2020…. It is really difficult to remember which backup contains which files if there are 10 backups or more listed.

My backups run for a long time and then are being labeled “(Not finished)”. The logs say “The backup attempt has finished, apparently unsuccessfully” and “413 Request Entity Too Large”.

I changed split archives to 25MB but it didn’t seem to help.
Do you have any suggestions about how to fix this?

I’ve been trying to backup my site to my Google drive for days. I’ve tried reducing the chunks to 50MB, I’ve authorized, reauthorized, and still each attempt has been apparently unsuccessful.
I’ve even updated other sites I have and been successful without issue. So, am not sure what is going wrong and could use some guidance.
I tried copying the log to pastebin, but it was waaaay too big, so I searched for an error (keep in mind, I have no idea what I’m looking for) and copied this from it:

I have carefully backed up my site weekly and normally no issue with uploading a back-up.
I recently had a major issue with site, I have had to completely start over and re upload the original theme and demo data package.
The upload from Updraftplus claims to be successful BUT the site shows absolutely nothing from my original site. This is huge fail and loss for me. I definitely have it all backed up. Even though Updraft says the upload is successful there must be something wrong. Please help.

I’m trying to change my external backup from Dropbox to Onedrive. Updraftplus generates a notice reading “Follow this link to authorise access to your Microsoft OneDrive account (you will not be able to backup to Microsoft OneDrive without it).” but clicking the link simply brings me back to the UpdraftPlus tab on WordPress. Does anyone know how I sync UDP with Onedrive? Is it only possible with the paid version?

Used updraft free version for backup for wordpress website. It wasnt stored on cloud. We only saved to local system. So when we were saving the file, we used our own custom name. Now updraft cannot recover from the backup zip files due to change in zip file name.
Is there any way else i could recover my data.?

My backup generates multiple messages with the title “Backed up: [website] (UpdraftPlus [version]) [date and time]”. The messages read:
Backup of: https://…
UpdraftPlus WordPress backup is complete.
Backup contains: Files and database (Full backup)
Latest status: The backup has not finished; a resumption is scheduled
All the resumptions fail and eventually I have to stop the backup. It is then recorded as “not finished” in the list of backups.
Do you know what is going on? Is the backup sufficient to restore from or not?

Hi – using updraftplus and very happy with it. However, the backup process reports that my WP database has a table, wphi_wpfd_vectors, that has 285,000 entries. Can anyone help with what this table might be for and why it has so many entries? Google etc does not turn anything up. Or where else I might post for help? TIA

Like other users on this forum, I’m impacted by the recognised problem that UpDraftPlus only supports an old version of the Gooogle API in the OAuth 1.0 series whereas WP Mail SMTP only supports version 2.0 of the OAuth API (I’m not clear exactly which API sub-versions).
I’m taking this understanding from this recent discussion of the issue: http://wp101.net/support/topic/end-of-backup-email-not-working/ – forgive me if I’ve actually got the wrong Google API but the same principles apply anyway.
I can understand your desire for backwards compatibility but do not see the need to penalise other users who have to use the latest version of the Google API in order to keep using some very widely used plug-ins that are keeping up to date. I use a range of other very popular plug-ins, including BBQ Pro, Sucuri, iThemes, that all work with the WP Mail SMTP plug-in without problems.
In any case, the OAuth 1.0 API is now increasingly deprecated (by Google itself for example) and it is only a matter of time before it ceases to be available.
Given that the problem with emailing message is not core functionality for UpdraftPlus, would it be possible for you to support both versions of the API and allow users to switch between them via the settings?
It seems such a shame that two of the most widely used WordPress plug-in, each with 1-2 million users cannot find a way to work alongside each other successfully.

I have developed a small wordpress site using WAMP on my pc to set up a local host. I have installed Updraftplus to test out my use of it before going “live” by exporting my site to an external host but cannot backup to Google Drive or to email. I keep getting the message “not finished” under Existing Backups and it tries again after about 3 minutes but eventually exits. I have tried splitting backups to as little as 25 Mb but that makes no difference. Help please.

Hi I tried to update the updraft plugin last night
and it took forever, then came back my website was in maintenance mode
when my site recovered the plugin was gone
so i renames the folder on my test site
downloaded and activated
all worked fine, until i updated the plugin to
View version 1.16.23 details
and it broke my site again

Hello.
I purchased Updraftplus.
I wanted to make a copy via SFTP.
I generated the keys and uploaded them to the server and entered the Updraftplus configuration.
Unfortunately, during the test I got the message: “updraft_send_command: error: UpdraftPlus: could not parse the JSON (502)”
The server response time is 1.60s

For some time, my backups of my website (kosmosnews.fr) on Google Drive through UpDraftPlus fail (manual or automatic programmed start up).
The main error message says: the backup is completed, apparently without success.

I created a new VPS server on a different cloud provider and used updraft on the newly created WordPress to restore the original site. I had automatic 4 hour interval backups on the original site. I used the latest backup on the remote storage to restore the site. Then it showed that tables are missing and if i still want to continue, i did but i don’t see anything missing on my restored WordPress.
Then why it says tables are missing?

Title says it all, there’s no way I can restore a backup (and I really need to do that) because suddently the css seems off and the restore button doesn’t work:
Any idea on why it displays like this and/or how to fix it?
I’ve tried clearing the cache and all, nothing changes -_-
